Move Through Beauty is a perspective on the business of beauty.
The beauty industry continues to expand through more products, treatments, technologies and ideals, yet more choice does not always create greater relevance.
What beauty encourages us to improve, and what we choose to leave alone, signals how we understand ourselves. An industry built around individuality can also become increasingly prescriptive about what individuality should look like.
I do not believe individuality should be manufactured. Beauty should make room for identity, not author it.
That tension shapes how I look at the business itself.
In an expanding market, relevance depends on more than visibility. It requires a clear position, an understanding of the consumer and enough market intelligence to know when to follow the category, when to challenge it and when to move differently.
The strongest decisions often subtract more than they add.
Through market intelligence and cultural signals, discernment becomes the difference between relevance and repetition.
